Deconstruction
Salvage and Recycling
With the high costs of hauling and processing construction
waste and the growing challenge of over-utilized landfills, recycling
has become a highly essential practice in the construction industry.
In a process known as “deconstruction,”
building materials, fixtures and fittings are selectively removed
and salvaged before demolition. These materials can then be donated
or recycled back into the building components marketplace, thus
reducing the volume entering our landfills.
V’s is a strong proponent of minimizing
waste. Preserving the environment and
recycling and salvaging play an important role in our work strategy.
In addition to the environmental benefit, an aggressive recycling
approach also yields a cost benefit, which gets passed back to our
clients.
